Tyler's Mission Reunion
Tyler's mission president and his wife, (Pres. and Sister Cardenas) were in Salt Lake City for Conference weekend. They live in Mexico, so they aren't here very often- so it was fun for Tyler to see them and for them to see Jordy!
| The reunion was at a church north of the capitol building, so we stopped by afterward for a quick picture! |
| Jordy really liked it! :) He dug right in and helped himself to the fries and our rootbeer float! |
Then on Saturday, we did a little "egg hunt" outside for Jordy. He was just pretty excited to be outside...he got a little distracted and wasn't really looking for eggs! He got more excited when he realized the eggs had something in them (a jellybean or animal cookie) and he could open them! He got some bubbles and a bouncy ball- so he was pretty happy about those. :) We then watched more conference that afternoon and Tyler got to watch Priesthood session from home (Jordy and I played in the other room and talked with Grandma Hyatt on Facetime).
We actually put the eggs out again on Sunday between conference, because Jordy seemed to have fun with it the day before. Jess came over and we ate a little Easter Dinner (with "hamurkey"- as Tyler called it...it was turkey ham) and tried decorating a few eggs (Jordy started licking the eggs then dunking his whole hand in the dye...so Jess took over the decorating "duty" :) Jess then took a lot of pictures of Jordy (thanks!) After the jellybeans, chocolate cadbury eggs, and bunny cake, it's a miracle Jordy didn't develop diabetes!
We are so grateful for the Easter season and for being able to celebrate the life of our Savior Jesus Christ and for the hope and peace the Gospel brings to our lives...knowing HE LIVES!
